recover!

Last year I couldn't run for a week after Kitatanzawa adventure race.
But this year I could run today(only three days after the race)
I think this is the important point to run the race.
Always have strength in reserve!

Today's training 17km jog
monthly mileage for July: 108km(monthly target 350km)

I read your blog in regards to Mt. Fuji trail running. I am bringing my running coach from the USA along with me at the end of July when I fly to Tokyo. I think she might enjoy running in Mt. Fuji. Can you give us some tips..where to run, where to start, etc.
Thanks!

Thank you for your comment.

There are five route to climb up Mt.Fuji. The most popular route is Kawaguchiko route. There are many huts and we can drive up to the half point(also buses).
I don't know how your coach could run, but sounds she must a excellent athlete. If you have a car to go, you can climb it up from the bottom in Yoshidaguchi. The start poin is called Umagaeshi. It is a little minor route and hard to climb because of the long way, but not crowded and very historical route, I like it.
Anyway I recommend the Kawaguchiko route for the first climbing and start from the half point called Gogoume.
At last I recommend you should climb up Mt. Fuji on weekday, because on weekends it is terribly crowded!
