i saw a movie "running in the wind? run against the wind? It's windy..."
In the movie there is no answer why we run.
We have many answers with each other.
I think I run for myself but sometimes for others.
Anyway we will enjoy the Hakone Ekiden much more in the next year than usual.
Today's training: 20km run & 3km jog
Monthly mileage for December: 54km

I sometimes wonder why I run as well... I think that I am the type of person who chooses a goal and works as hard as I can to meet that goal. Unfortunately I sometimes focus too much on the goal.
I would love to run in the ekiden. I saw it on TV when I was in Kyoto last year. That would be great. Actually, I think I would enjoy running just about any organized race in Japan. Last year I ran from Kyoto west and back (around 20k) and it was a nice run except for the car exhaust.
Thank you for your comment.
I have been running for more than four years. I am often asked by my friends why you are running. There are so many answers and they are changing as time goes by.
In Japan one of the most famous Ekiden is Hakone Ekiden which is held on New Year's Day.
I was in Kyoto on Jan 1, 2009. I watched part of the ekiden on TV with my mother in law.
