My throat has gotten well and I can run a long distance for the preparation of the Ultra Marathon.
I got up at 4:00 and started to run 4:40. Most of the way was road but from Syoumaru station I ran through path. My destination was Hitujiyama park in TiTibu where we could see the wonderful Shibazakura!
The road is along the Koma river.
There was a plenty of minus ion!
I like the trail better than the road.
In 横瀬駅 I met my family who came by train and we went together to the Hitujiyama park.
Shibazakura is in full bloom!

The Serengeti National Park in Africa
I had a hangover today and, what was worse, I had a sore throat. I gave up the plan that I would go to the mountains for trailrun.
We went to the 6都科学館 and saw the movie "Africa, Serengeti".
The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai name meaning endless plains and these rolling distances of short grass plains provide an exceptional landscape for wildlife viewing; it is ultimate safari country.
I was deeply impressed not onl by the spectacle and powerful pictures and also the severe lives of wild animals.

AED lecture
In this month I have to make a small lecture about AED in my hospital.
I will talk about “how to use it”, “why to use it” and “when to use it”.
The AED (Automatid external defibrillators) was designed to identify tachyarrhythmias and automatically prompt the operator to deliver a shock.
The AED incorporates a rhythm analysis system, a shock advisory system, and external self-adhesive defibrillation pads.
When a shock is advised, the operator must take the final action by pressing a shock button.
They are designed only for use on patients who are unresponsive, not breathing, and have no signs of circulation.

Mt.Takamizu moutaineering race
Trail-running is getting more and more popular in Japan and trail-runners has been increasing.
From this year the name has changed from Montrail to Lafuma.
I still feel weary in my both feet, and from last week I had had a pain in my left iliotibial ligament.
So in this time my target was to finish the race. I did "taping " on my both knee carefully and saved the power in the first half. And watch the each step very carefully to avoid slipping.
The tactics was successful. I could finished the race. And more I could enjoyed the race fully.
In the moutain there were still a lot of cherry blossoms.

Sakura Marathon
I participated in Sakura marathon in Chiba Pref.
It was cloudy, not so windy and moderate humid. To sum up, it was the best day for marathon!!
I wish this is the first and last full marathon that I participate in, so my target is under three hours (subthree).
The result was 3:02:07!!! I felt so much mortification. I couldn't regretted more than this.
But this was my own result and I felt my limit in the race (especially at 38km point). So I have to train harder than before and in the next year I will be back in the full-marathon race!
Of course, my main races are trail ran races.
I regretted the result but anyway I can feel satisfaction and relief after every races.
In the latter half of the race I was imaging that I could drink a plenty of beer after the race. This is one of the most favorite beer, Heart Land Beer.!

There was a fire drill in my apartment today. Many residents took part in it. I was impressed by their high recognition of disaster.

First trail run in this year! I love trail run!
My left thigh has been getting better but isn't completely healed, so I gave up going skiing and decided to go trail running, although it is a little early to go trail running because of cold and snow.
From Mt.Takao to Mt.Jinba there were too many people but from Mt.Jinba to Mt.Ichimichi there were few hiker, so I could enjoy calm trail run.
Today I heard twitters of trees! At first I thought them twitters of birds, but I realized that so many trees creaked and made sounds like twitters!!
We have to keep mountains clean! Let's clean up

Of course I slipped many times.

Everyone has his own thought
Yesterday I had a drink with old friends of the medical class. I was surprised to hear that two of five will go abroad and live there for whole lives in the future! They said it was hard to live in Japan(Tokyo) because of the prices,an environment for children and so on. Of course I don't agree that but they said there was a better world than Japan...
As for me, the world(Tokyo) that now I live in is the best one and I'm really having a nice time, even if it is a small world.

Ski in Okutone
It snowed five times in Tokyo in this season, much more than last year.
And snow took me to the mountains!
Although it was three consecutive holidays, there were few people on the slope if you could arrive before the sunrise. I skied for about three hours to my heart's content. Okutone in Minakami: a very small ski area but the slope is nice!
In the afternoon we played in the near park. Maybe this was the last snow in Tokyo? Although three consecutive holidays, there was none except us! Perhaps they have gone to Onsen or had an outing.
