Snow Board
I like ski better than snow board, but I have my rule that I do snow board once a year so in this time I enjoyed snow board.
By the way, it'll be on night duty tomorrow so I'll restart my training from the day after tomorrow.
We stayed at senkyou"仙郷" in Oigami-onsen.
It was spectacular ice needles.
We enjoyed Onsen as well as snow board.

Gakkyuu-heisa?
At the class of my older daughter Influenza is prevalent and many classmates was absent from school, so it was temporary closing of classes from today. And my wife has caught a cold from yesterday!! So today we'll drink Amazake not beer.

Running in a cold wind
It was fine but very windy. A cold wind took my motive for running, but finally I could went runnning because of .........the BEER I could drink after running.
Ordinary a wind gives a harder time to runners than a rain, but sometimes the wind sounds like cheering in stead of getting in the way!

Off
In this week and the next week our ICU staffs go skiing separately. I belong to the second group, so in this week I have to work harder than usual as one of staffs staying in the hospital.
The ryokan(Japanese style hotel) the first group stay is one of the best hotel I have ever been. "仙仁温泉 岩の湯"

Ski in Hakkaisan
I woke up 4:00 o'clock and went skiing with my hospital staff. The Hakkaisan ski area is in Muikamachi of Niigata Pref. This area is famous for it's steep slope and irregular slope which they don't make even, so you can enjoy the "non-smooth slope".
Off course I have forgotten my pain of the left thigh???
In this area there are a rope way on which 81 people can ride, and you can reach the top fast.

A peaceful day
It's an off day today. My daughters and I went to Koganei Park. There are many kinds of slides,swings,mazes made of woods and so on.
The Green Road leads to Koganei Park.
You can feel the changes of the seasons in this park.

I love Gyouza!
I jogged slowly again. Although the left thigh has been getting better, there are still pain. Today's goal(the turn point) was Higashiyamato Central Park.
This is the best gyouza in Japan!!"Shinmikaku" I belive firmly...
The sauce "Tare" is very important point. Plenty of crushed garic is essential,but you can't have a talk with anyone at close range on the next day!!

Snow in Tokyo
Last night it snowed first in this season in Tokyo. I feel excited a little when it snows even I have gotten older.
There was still pain in my thigh so I jogged very slowly.

After night duty I went jogging but couldn't run as I like.
To tell the truth, I got little injured again....... When I was skiing in Minakami I tried to attack the irregular slope and there I got my left thigh inside stretched too much! I'm afraid I can't run for a while....

From 12nd to 14th we went Minakami with our grandparents. We enjoyed skiing,sledging and snow itself.
I hope my daughters become to love snow!!

Yesterday we drunk much beer and syoutyu and had a good time, so today I have to wash out alchohol from my body. Running in the cold rain can make me cool down and

What are you thinking about while running?
I used to run to think about nothing at all,that is to say, run to forget all thing about work, duty, some human relations, and so on. I can make my head empty while running!
Nowadays partially the same thing can be said, but in addition I'm running to think about something fun.

triage again
On this weekend,Saturday, I will make a lecture about disaster medicine and triage at Higashikurume-shi. It's a lecture for the public not for the medical staff, so I have to remake the lecture which I made last year.
In the evening my hunger and tiredness beat my motive for running.

LSD along Tamagawa-Jyosui
The New Years Days have passed in no time. And ordinary life began again, but I belive there will be something new in the new year!

Today it was very fine and the best day for running. I could overcome the sleepiness and go for a jog. Today's course is the Kodaira Triangle which is consist of Green Road, Tamagawa-Jyousui and Nobidome-Yousui.

Make up my mind.....
About one month has passed after I got injury and nowadays I can run as I like.
So the time has come to do "pace running" and "interval training" to prepare for the full marathon. But these hard training are the last one that I want to do.....

First run
After having a nice time with Prof. S’s family, we have returned to Tokyo just now.
In Yatugatake we enjoyed skiing(sledging), drinking and watching many deers!
And today is the first day of this year to run.
It's a nice cottage in the nice place!

A Happy New Year
A Happy New Year and I wish you good luck in this year.
My family and I will start soon for Yatugatake where my superior has a cottage.
I will ski and drink a plenty of beer like last year.
Here is My target in this year!
1: 25th July, Mt. Fuji climbing race 3:30 (15min shorter than last year)
2: 30th March, Sakura Kenko marathon 3:00(perhaps this is the first and last full marathon. I don’t like full marathon)
3: on Octorber, Japan Mountaineering race 10:00(15min shorter than last year)
